As a composer, I feel a pressure to create music that is outstanding and connects to people on a emotional level, transforming their life for the better. But, whilst this is the intention, more often than not it doesn’t happen.
It is easy to be disappointed and frustrated during these times. But I have come to understand that this is part of the journey…part of the adventure of composing music. It is in these times of hardship that I learn and improve the most….this is where I improve as a composer and music producer.
So, I have now learnt to embrace these times, recognising they are temporary and that once I have journeyed through them, the music (and myself) are better for them.
So, what are you going to create today….even if it sucks?
